Mission + Market

After my first meal out at Canoe I went downtown to the World of Coca Cola and visited the museum. This was an interesting tour to see the history of Coke and how huge the impact of it is in our lives and the economy. From their famous slogan and logo to the commercials that have accompanied our lives it’s nice to finally understand it’s history. It was also astonishing to see how many products they have shelved out already all over the world.

The sensory lab was a pretty cool experience, and the exercises as well were quite challenging. The amount of people that come and visit here is surprising as well and they come from all over the world. It was so nice to see the children happily running around and trying different sodas. Their souvenir shop was a sight to behold as well, and people were already buying Christmas gifts already for their loved ones.

After the afternoon tour I was off to the Buckhead neighborhood for dinner at Mission + Market located at Three Alliance Center at 3550 Lenox Road. This was a very nice and classy place in a fancy high class neighborhood and the food was really good.  Chef Ian Winsalde’s cuisine is simple yet very tasty and full of flavors.

I started with the Diced Tuna Tartare with avocado and spicy peanut dressing. This was a nice balance of southeast Asian and Hawaiian combination of flavors that blended very well.

I had the romaine Caesar salad with anchovies next to cleanse my palate and have something fresh in between as well.

For my entrée I had the Gulf Red Grouper with spinach and kale risotto. This was executed perfectly as the grouper was pan seared perfectly and the risotto had the perfect texture.

Capping off my meal was the tres leches cocoa bread pudding with salted caramel gelato which I easily finished because it was super good.
