Lung Yai

Tomorrow I fly back to New York City and there was 1 place that I was not able to visit here in Miami during my last trip so I made it a point that this time around I would be able to come back to Lung Yai Thai Tapas.

DUCK-SALAD.jpg

Located at 1731 SW 8th Street in the famed Little Havana district this eatery is known for serving delicious Thai styled Tapas. Famed for their appetizers and exotic flavors, I knew that this was going to be a great meal as I could smell the sauces breezing through the air. As we were given our table curbside and seated by the front of the space you could feel the energy from our fellow diners and see the kitchen starting to get busy as more customers started arriving.

Thai Iced Tea was our beverage of choice for this nice afternoon, and this always sets the mood for a good meal. The spring rolls and duck salad were the first set of appetizers brought to our table and they were both on point. The salad had real good flavors and the spring roll were crisp and seasoned well.

FRIED-RIBS.jpg

The fried ribs were so delicious that I could not stop eating them and understood why this was one of the top selling items from the menu. Next in was the Thai chicken wings and I have to say that this was my favorite item for today. It was fried golden brown with a light coating and the sauce was just a perfect match for it.

CRAB-FRIED-RICE.jpg

The crab fried rice was our second to the last order and they really served the best for last. This dish had a bit more sauce to it than usual but what stands out is the quality of the crab and the actual rice itself.

The grilled pork skewers was our last item and this was a perfect accompaniment to the crab fried rice. The richness of the pork just made me want to continue to eat all afternoon.

We had so much food left over that we had bagged up and I’m already thinking of my midnight snack for this evening ☺

As #KULINARYATRAVELS Miami series concludes. I want to thank you for following my journey and stay tuned for our next Series to commence…
